Wayside will have to lug the top weight of 58kg in Sunday’s Narrogin Cup as he looks to add another feature country cup to his mantle piece.

The Geraldton Cup winner has drawn barrier 11 for Harvey Racing and Shaun McGruddy stays on board.

Wayside is coming off a sixth placing in the Albany Cup where he was beaten by five lengths.

It was a race that did not pan out for the son of Choisir who was shuffled back through the field when moves came early and he was boxed in.

Trainer Todd Harvey is confident Wayside will get a better run in the Narrogin Cup Sunday and is a good chance to return to the winner’s stall.
