Suave And Black opened her winning account on Thursday at Northam. The elegant Blackfriars filly was having just her second start and won very impressively over the1600m journey. Suave And Black jumped very well from the barrier, and mustered speed to sit in a commanding position in 4th place.  Into the straight, rider Clint Harvey wound the leggy filly up and she made solid ground on the leaders to over haul them and win comfortably. Suave And Black certainly looks a very nice staying type. As she learns more about racing and her distances are stretched out she will make her presence felt next season. Congratulations to winning owners Nick and Helen Archibald and Clint Spencer.  They have been very patient with the filly and deserve their success!!  Purchased by Clint and Helen at the Magic Millions Sale, Suave And Black comes from a very good family.  Her third dam is Ballyman's Girl who produced outstanding race filly and top producer Beaux Art a WATC Derby winner! So it seems Suave And Black could be a stayer of the future!
