Consistent galloper Silver Minx finally broke his maiden status on Saturday the 26th at Narrogin. Silver Minx has been a model of consistency with six placings this time in with five of them being seconds! So to see Silver Minx finally break through for his first win was very satisfying for trainers Todd and Rob Harvey.

Ridden to perfection by jockey Marco Chui Silver Minx raced on the speed and was simply just to good for his opposition winning comfortably by 1.25 lengths. Silver Minx's strong win should now give him the confidence to now go on with the job and land some more wins!

Silver Minx is raced on lease by Gail Harvey from his owners and breeders Lex and Shirly Piper. Sliver Minx's dam Tropical Minx was also owned and raced by the Pipers and trained by Rob Harvey. Tropical Minx had just two race track wins at Pinjarra but has been a great producing mare, with her progeny including top class stakes winning sprinter Vain Raider 9 wins and 10 placings for $427.650 and the smart mare Away Ye Go 7 wins and 21 placings for $177.965. So Silver Minx could be a horse to follow now he has learned to win!
