Race 6: 14-Touch Of Black (Clint Harvey)

Touch Of Black stays on the WA Oaks path by running in the $100,000 Natasha Stakes (LR-2200m), the traditional final lead-up to the $250,000 WA Oaks (G3-2400m) on Saturday March 29.

It may pay to forget her last run in the Ascot 1000 Guineas (March 1) when jockey Troy Turner was dislodged in the straight. While she was out of contention at the time of the interference her previous form suggests that she is better than that and she may have simply had a 'bad day at the office'.

This filly has her share of ability and we have no doubt she will run out the 2200m journey. Is taking on some quality opposition here, though, and we would be happy with a competitive effort and a midfield or better finish would be very pleasing.
