Mosstiara debuts for Harvey Racing at Ascot on Wednesday over 1000m.
The former John Thompson-trained filly has impressed since making the move west.
She had two starts at Kembla Grange and Goulburn during her time with Thompson and finished down the track at both runs.
Co-trainer Todd Harvey said the daughter of Mossman out of Kentiara has shown better ability then those runs suggest.
“She trialled really well and looks like a really nice filly,” he said.
“We asked Aaron to settle her in the trial, but she jumped so well and landed in front.
“She has improved off that.”
Mosstiara will strike a rain effected track which her breeding says will be no problem.
Harvey was buoyant about Mosstiara’s chances in the three-year-old event for runners without a metro win in the last year.
Mitchell will take the ride again on Wednesday and will jump from barrier seven.
Good luck to owners Lex and Shirley Piper.
