Misty Metal made a mess of rivals at Bunbury on Wednesday over 1100m to chalk up win number two of her career.

Shaun McGruddy gave the progressive filly a perfect ride, tucking in behind a hot tempo, which allowed the daughter of Oratorio to find her rhythm and let down powerfully over the concluding stages.

It was one of the wins of the day, in front of a big Bunbury Turf Club crowd for Bunbury Stakes Day.

It takes the three-year-old’s career strike rate to 33 percent and she is beginning to show the talent the stable has always known she had.

Misty Metal defeated Distant Trilogy in the Bunbury Apartment Motel Handicap by two-and-a-quarter lengths, with a further length-and-a-quarter back to third place.

She has already shown the ability to be competitive in higher grades then she won on Wednesday, so keep an eye out for the beautiful Misty Metal in town soon.
