Star sprinting mare Misty Metal is certainly back on track following an untimely hoof issue that has delayed her winter campaign. The class Oratorio mare missed the Roma Cup earlier in the season due to a nasty hoof abscess, now cleared she turned up for her racing return with an emphatic  win at this mornings Belmont Park trials. Ridden by regular rider Shaun McGruddy Misty Metal came out of the barrier with speed to burn! she led her field up clearly and strongly, into the straight McGruddy brought the triple stakes winner to better going on the track and she cruised away to win eased down by 6.3 lengths in the slick time of 1:01:02. She is certainly right on target for her return to the race track in the Beaufine Stakes at Belmont Park on the 11th of July, a track she has had great success at over the 1000m distance.
