The ultra consistent Magic Opus has another chance to break her maiden status at Northam on Thursday in the Red Robin Hospitality Maiden over five furlongs.

Troy Turner will team up with the chestnut filly again, with the pair looking to change their luck after consecutive runner-up finishes.

All four runs this campaign have been at Northam.

Beginning first up with a third before a fifth placing, beaten less then three lengths.

The two runs since have been good performances, but ended in collecting second prize money.

Magic Opus’ most recent run was two weeks ago and the formline was franked at Belmont on Wednesday with Gunnago winning a Class 3.

The Harvey Racing galloper has drawn barrier six in the nine horse field, but looks able to get a nice run on speed.

A win would be well deserved and continue the stable’s momentum following the win of A Knight Of Pro on Saturday.
