Imortalite was on the brink of victory before a short freshen up, the blinkers go on today and back to the scene of his best run, he is expected to run a good race this afternoon.

The four-year-old lines up in the first race today at Pinjarra in the Chaff City Muesli maiden over 1600m.

Shaun McGruddy takes the ride and will hope to go one better then the last time Imortalite was at the track and distance, running second to Majora’s Mask back on January 14.

Co-trainer Todd Harvey is confident of a forward showing.

“He’s been freshened and his work this week has been spot on,” he said.

“He should run a bold race, but he will take plenty of improvement from it.”

On race morning, Imortalite was rated an $8.50 chance by TABtouch.
