Gifted Warrior resumes in his second preparation at Ascot on Good Friday in what looks a winnable Amelia Park Karrakatta Plate Day 14 April Handicap.

The son of War Chant is first up over 1200m and has the services of inform jockey Shaun McGruddy.

McGruddy and Harvey Racing will be keen to replicate the success they had last Wednesday at Bunbury with Misty Metal.

Gifted Warrior is coming off an impressive trial win.

He was strong through the line over 1000m at Belmont, beating Two Eye See by more than a length.

Co-trainer Todd Harvey is looking forward to Gifted Warrior’s return.

“His trial was excellent and we expect him to run very well,” he said.

“He is going super.”

The three-year-old gelding will need to overcome a tricky barrier to build on his one win and a fourth during his first campaign.
